This super specialty malt is designed to contribute a deep red color to your beer along with a full and complex malt character.Melanoidins are complex compounds that usually form during a decoction mash.These melanoidins are often found in bock and other dark lager styles.Melanoidin malt can be used in place of a decoction mash or simply to add malt complexity to your beer.Generally used at 1-20% of the grain bill.
