Description
Native to South America, Funckiana has thin, light-green to silvery leaves that come up from its base and spread out about an inch from its center in a rosette shape. The leaves do not get any longer; instead, Funckiana continues to grow vertically, adding new layers as leaves above the previous ones. In some cases, the plant will grow straight and resemble a long pine branch with soft needles. Alternatively, it may twist and turn into funky shapes. During blooming the top needles will blush red and a vibrant red trumpet flower will emerge. These make beautiful hanging clusters due to the many pups it produces.
