with glossy deep green foliage that emerge red and may return to red in cold winters
. The drooping clusters of white bell-shaped flowers with brassy pink calyx and stems that gradually fade to green as they bloom in spring

with slightly acidic and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Water regularly. Remove spent flowers immediately. Lace bug infections can be a serious problem. Watch for scale, mites, and nematodes. Dieback and leaf spots are occasional problems.
