Description
Lycianthes rantonnetii, also known as the Blue Potato Bush, is an evergreen shrub, often trained as a small tree or a climbing vine, that is native to South America. It’s prized for its profuse display of blue-purple, trumpet-shaped flowers with yellow centers. While it can grow to 10-12 feet tall, it’s typically maintained at a smaller size through pruning. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, and can tolerate a range of climates, including coastal areas.
