Description
Double Play Red Spirea is a dense mounding deciduous shrub
with oval sharp-toothed leaves that are vibrant dark burgundy on new growth and matures to medium green before turning brick red in fall. Flat-topped clusters of crimson red flowers cover the plant in later spring to summer. Grows best in
full sun
and well-drained soils. Removed spent flowers to encourage additional bloom.
