Unlike traditional watering globes that release water through a single hole, the Blumat system disperses moisture gradually and evenly through the porous cone. This allows plants to absorb water at a natural rate throughout the day, helping prevent both overwatering and dry soil conditions.
Refilling is quick and convenient. Simply cut the bottom off a plastic bottle, fill it with water using a watering can, and place the adapter into the bottle. Insert the stake into the soil near the plant and the watering system begins working automatically.
The XL version releases approximately 300 milliliters (0.63 pints) of water over a 24-hour period, making it ideal for larger pots or plants with higher moisture needs.
