Description
Allium ampeloprasum
Elephant garlic is really a type of bulbing leek instead of true garlic, but is grown and harvested in nearly the same way as true garlic. It produces huge, softball-sized bulbs with a flavor so mild that they can be eaten raw. These truly impressive plants reach 4-5 feet tall.
Approximately 10 – 15 cloves per 1/2 lb.
