Description
The Autumn Brilliance Apple Serviceberry is a deciduous shrub or small tree that’s known for its beautiful white flowers that bloom in early spring, its edible berries that ripen in early summer, and its vibrant red-orange fall foliage. The berries are a favorite among birds and can also be used to make jams and pies.
This plant is quite adaptable and can grow in a variety of conditions, but it prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It’s also tolerant of urban pollution, making it a good choice for city gardens.
The Autumn Brilliance Apple Serviceberry can grow up to 15-25 feet tall and wide, so it’s a good idea to give it plenty of space to grow. It can be used as a specimen plant, in a mixed border, or as part of a wildlife garden.
