Side Mount Tri-Clamp Filter Strainer
Tri Clamp strainers are used for filtration of solids from fluid process flows. It is recommended that a strainer be placed before a pump when emptying a centrifuge and the like to not allow large solids to enter and damage a pump. This model has 1.5″ Tri-Clamp inlet and outlet ports.
Side Mount Inline Strainers
Tri Clamp inline strainers mount similar to a spool or elbow with both ends clamped into a tri-clamp fitting. The side mount strainer has a unique characteristic, it can be emptied while still attached just by removing the internal basket as long as it is correctly mounted. Liquid should flow in through the side port and out through the bottom port.
