Ethanol Dehydration Sieve Beads Type 3A

Ethanol Dehydration Beads Type 3A is specifically designed for the dehydration of fuel grade ethanol. Ethanol can only be dried to an azeotropic point of 95.6% purity by traditional distillation. After that point, 3A selectively adsorbs the water from the solution to produce anhydrous ethanol with less than 0.5% water. This is the drying method of choice for fuel ethanol producers.  With these beads you can remove water to achieve a metered proof of 200 or 99.999%.

Typical Applications:

Ethanol Dehydration Grade Molecular Sieve products (sieve beads) are typically used for the dehydration of fuel grade ethanol PSA and VSA systems.

Handling & Storage Recommendations:

Store in a dry location to prevent unintentional water adsorption. Reseal packages after opening to prevent contamination and unintentional water adsorption. We recommend that you rotate stock so the oldest material is used first. Please read the safety data sheet to ensure proper handling and always wear personal protection equipment when handling molecular sieve.
